Greg Canote

Greg stands outside on a sidewalk with a great big open-mouth smile, with a marquee in the background for The Canote Twins, directed by Larry Edelman.

What’s your name and where do you live?
Greg Canote. Seattle, WA.

When did you start listening to TBTL? How did you find the show?
I found it accidentally at the end of the radio days! I remember “Drunk people are so meta.”

How would your friends describe you?
I’m pretty much known as an affable, relentlessly happy guy!

What was your favorite cereal when you were a kid? Is it still your fav?
I do remember a brief flirtation with Lucky Charms, but we were a Grape-Nuts family.

What food do you love to eat the most of?
I really love all forms of the lowly potato! Mashed, fried or Tots!

What’s the best or worst nickname you ever had?
In high school, my twin brother and myself were known as “The Coconuts”. Based on our last name (Canote). At various times Greg has morphed into Gerg!

If you could play one song on TBTL, what would it be?
I’ve always loved the Early Bird Always Gets The Worm by E. C. Ball.

What’s a special skill you have that you’re most proud of?
I’ve been a fiddler for the last 50 years, but I’m really proud of my ability to identify and enjoy some “down time”!

What’s a special skill that you *wish* you had?
I often have dreams where I just simply lift a few inches off the ground and cruise along like that!

If you were driving down the street and you saw Luke and Andrew on the sidewalk, what would you yell at them as you drove past?
“What you do is so important!”
