What’s your name and where do you live?
Kristen Arntzen. Thunder Bay, Ontario (The Bay City).
When did you start listening to TBTL? How did you find the show?
I was just talking to my 11 about this. My pal Joe from Chicago posted about this funny show she was listening to back in 2014. It was the Cereal parody of Serial. I was hooked immediately. My 10-aversary comes up November 10th - 10 years as an avid listener!
How would your friends describe you?
I’m friendly, silly, helpful. Quiet? I think I am loud, but someone recently was surprised when I belted out my rendition of Ballroom Blitz at Karaoke. What can I say, I love Tia Carrere and the band Sweet.
What was your favorite cereal when you were a kid? Is it still your fav?
I didn’t have quite the parents Luke had, but I didn’t get much sugar cereal. I loved rice puffs with a little honey. Nowadays, I love my rolled oats style oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar. Or a big shredded wheat biscuit with honey.
What food do you love to eat the most of?
I love salsa and chips, or popcorn with garlic salt and butter. Snacky crunchy salty things are my jam!
What’s the best or worst nickname you ever had?
The best: In College I went by “Tim.” Which started as “Tim the Invisible Kitten” (don’t put your invisible kittens in the microwave!) but evolved to be Tim the Enchanter - because there are those who call me… Tim?
If you could play one song on TBTL, what would it be?
I am horrible at choosing just one song. I just saw Green Day in concert, so let's choose Bobby Sox off their new album, Saviors. It's a banger!
What’s a special skill that you have?
I am good at fixing things which need sewing. I am not great at it, but I like patching and mending stuff to make it last longer.
What’s a skill you *wish* you had?
I wish I could speed-read. I have been kicking the rust off my reading skills this year, and wish I was a faster reader so I could read more of the books out there.
If you were driving down the street and you saw Luke and Andrew on the sidewalk, what would you yell at them as you drove past?
“Ahoy hoy!”
