Lisa Craig

Lisa stands next to a wall that has the words "What If" drawn on to it in bright colors.

What’s your name and where do you live?
Lisa Craig. Lincoln, Nebraska.

When did you start listening to TBTL? How did you find the show?
2008. I didn't start listening to the Bryant Park Project podcast until it was post-Luke so, at the time, I wasn't aware he had been on the show. After it was canceled, iTunes suggested TBTL to me. I started listening to the radio show podcast after it came out the next morning, and I was hooked! I didn't even realize it was a nightly radio show at first (somehow I missed that detail). The first time Luke mentioned that he was on BPP, I was amazed how the iTunes algorithm worked to match the two together.

How would your friends describe you?
Describing my own personality feels weird but a friend once told me that people like me "because of my personality." I have to assume that I am a fun and pleasant person to be around.

What was your favorite cereal when you were a kid? Is it still your fav?
As a kid and to this day, I love all of the sugary cereals except for Sugar Crisp (or Golden Crisp in some areas). That stuff has a texture I can't get into. For healthy cereals, I love Grape Nuts, but I've tried warming them up and that is a no for me.

What food do you love to eat the most of?
I love nachos. I pile them high with toppings at home: guac, fresh cilantro, mango, salsa verde, pico, corn salsa, whatever else is nacho-worthy at home.

What’s the best or worst nickname you ever had?
Not exactly a nickname, but one of my uncles would sing the "I'm not Lisa" song to me all of the time. I've never heard the whole song but I can sing the line "I'm not Lisa, My name is Julie. Lisa left you…"

If you could play one song on TBTL, what would it be?
An obscure Sunday School song called "Zacchaeus Was a Wee Little Man" just to see if Luke and Andrew know it well. We sang that song in Sunday School when I was a kid. We aren't a church going family but my husband who (grew up in a different town but also learned the song) and I taught it to our daughter.

What’s a special skill that you *wish* you had?
I would love to be able to go back in time and document conversations with my Mom and my Grandma. I would love to record them telling about family history.

If you were driving down the street and you saw Luke and Andrew on the sidewalk, what would you yell at them as you drove past?
YES! I am a rule follower and that is the stated rule.
